The following text books are recommended but it should be remembered that no one book is ideal - they all have their own strengths and weaknesses.

The course will be based on:

Endocrinology: an integrated approach. Bios. (2001)
by SS Nussey and SA Whitehead

This book provides a core text suitable for both Cycle 1 and 2 endocrinology. It is an integrated text using large numbers of real clinical cases to introduce the basic biochemistry, physiology and pathophysiology underlying endocrine disorders and also the principles of clinical diagnosis and treatment.
